While we teach classes, conduct workshops, and give inspirational wellness talks, the emphasis of Turtle Health Counseling is the Lifestyle Renovation Program. We love working one-on-one with clients and it shows. Lasting changes take time, support, and focus, but can also be incredibly liberating and fun. We can’t wait to work with you and see you succeed!

The Lifestyle Renovation Program (5 Month Program)

We offer a program that will radically change your view on food and nutrition. The program implementation is across five months because true change never happens quickly and involves a gradual transition from old eating habits and thought forms to new healthier ways of eating and relating to the world. Tailored to the individual needs of the client, this program will help balance all aspects of your life: career, relationships, exercise, spirituality, and food. Whether you are nutritiously challenged, a busy executive, or someone who had weight-loss surgery, if you are a change-ready individual prepared to commit to lasting lifestyle improvements, we can show you healthy habits that will last long beyond the five-month program. Dieticians will not talk to you about emotional eating and therapists can not talk to you about food: but I can! I hear you. I am you.

~Teleclasses


What is a Teleclass?

 

A teleclass is simply a seminar that is delivered over a phone conference call line. It is like being at a lecture with lots of other people, but all of the other people are on their phones, too. Once you sign up for a teleclass, we will email you the phone number to use. We rent a bridge line, which is a conference call line that allows many people to call in at the same time without using an operator. At the predetermined class time, you simply pick up your phone and dial in to that number. You can call into teleclasses from your office or home (or even if you’re on the road). Don’t worry if you have to call in a few minutes late: we will give you instructions on how to mute your phone, in case you’ll be in a loud space or have pets making a ruckus in the background. You don’t have to be computer savvy to participate in a teleclass. Teleclasses are conducted over the phone, not via the computer or internet. You also do not need to have any special software or phone service. The number you call will be a U.S. phone number, so you will most likely receive a domestic long distance charge for the call. If you have unlimited domestic calls each month, you won’t receive any charges at all. Each teleclass focuses on a specific topic. We cover a specific curriculum, just like any speaker does. During the call, participants can ask questions and get individual coaching from a counselor. You can simply listen in to the class, or you can participate and ask questions. At the end of the call, there will be time for Q&A. If we record the teleclass, and you will receive a copy of the recording afterwards so that you can listen to it again. It is yours to keep forever. If you have never tried a teleclass before, it is a fun and convenient way to learn about a new topic. Plus you will get to hear questions that other people ask and get a chance to talk one-on-one with a counselor if you’d like.
